Accommodating the hull amidships to the shape of a half-frame

A gap between the port hull and one of the half frames fitted amidships. The builders will use a lever slid into the loop of yellow rope to press closed the gap during nailing. In this way, the equal curvature of the central six pairs of half frames will be imposed along the hull amidships.
