Builders have raised two corner posts (lower) and two central roofline posts (higher) as they build a wattle frame structure on the grounds of the Banda Cultural Centre. The horizontal roof joists rest in the Y-shaped ends of the vertical posts, but have not yet been tied into place. Lying on the ground are wooden poles that have been stripped of bark and will be used to construct the wattle frame. Nearby structures show the cement block construction and metal roofs that have replaced forms of architecture built with locally available materials. Banda-Ahenkro, Banda District, Ghana.
