Horizontal slats cut from the woody petioles of raffia palm (gbandaa) have been added to one side of the wattle frame of a structure being built on the grounds of the Banda Cultural Centre. On the opposite side, builders place vertical poles into post holes. The poles extend beyond the structure's roofline and will later be trimmed to length. Banda-Ahenkro, Banda District, Ghana.
