Interior view of a Chabu family house from Mashi. In the back left side of the house is the cooking area, used by women to prepare food. On the floor, around the fireplace (lawa mamang), different pottery vessels used for cooking grain (lewe), beer, and coffee (kare kondo), together with a filter (tajii), a metal tray and pottery, glass, gourd laddle and plastic cups. Against the walls, two wooden stirrers (k'omayi).
