Clay extraction site in Ki’Nonh village 2/2

The three types of clay can be found in the same area, around 500m away from the village. The clay can be found in a stream, where it is often mixed with too much sand to make pots, but also around 1m deep in the area around. Unfortunately, the area is now completely covered in crops, which prevents potters to gather clay on a regular basis. This clay source is the only one known in the region, which explains why Ki’nonh is the only village that ever made pottery. It also means that even when the village was situated further away, or when Katu people were moving around a lot, they used to come back to this area to fetch the clay and bring it back in baskets.
