The conical tower in the Great Enclosure has been a subject of debate in terms of its function. Why was it built? It is largely belived to have been constructed for symbolic purposes. Maybe, it was also a way of showcasing the architectural prowess of the original builders. The structure is solid, with packed core stone blocks.
