Drying pots in Thanh Hà village : General view

The pots are left to dry in the courtyard of the workshop. When they are brought after fashionning, they are placed upright on planks that were used to transport them from the workshop. Once the upper part is hard enough (usually after preforming on leather-hard clay), they are placed upside down. Then, they can be laid on the floor or sometimes piled up. Once completely dried, Nguyễn Thị Quốc will transport them in a wheelbarrow to the house, where they are piled up until firing.
