Firing pottery in Phù Mỹ village : Checking the state of the firing

In the gaps between the metallic sheets that form the third level of the kiln, the pots can be seen glowing red. This is the signal that these pots are already cooked. The potters will now cover most gaps with a mix of straw and muddy clay to redirect the flames towards the top of the kiln.
