Firing pottery in Yang Tao village : Overcooking on purpose

After post-firing a pestle, Mai Kim puts it back in the fire to harden it. They usually don't do it because it gives the pot a grey colour that is not appreciated by the local buyers. However, when it is to use at home, they do it because they know it means that the pot are more hard-wearing.
