The first layer of the fire is a layer of straw, covered with a layer of wood (preferably bamboo). Yo Khoanh places on top of it the pottery that will be fired. On this picture we can see three small cooking pot for soup (dlah pay), one small roasting pan (suông war ba) and one elephant figurine.
