Giang Ngọc Xanh transporting dried pots to the kiln while the neighbours are gathering the drying rice in Quế An village

Giang Ngọc Xanh uses a wheelbarrow to transport the dried pots from the courtyard to the garden, where the kiln is located. At the same time, the neighbours, who have borrowed the courtyard to dry their rice, are collecting it.

Temporality

The process of loading the kiln takes around 2h : 1h to bring the pots near the kiln and 1h to actually organise them in. It is usually undertaken in early afternoon (around 1PM).

Intent

The neighbours are sweeping the rice and gather it in the center of the courtyard. After that they will either cover it with plastic bags to protect them from the humidity or take it back home.
