Handmade Shiroishi kamiko vest (sodenashi haori) in the collection of Fumiko Satō, produced in the mid 20th century. This paper garment was made by Satō Kamiko Workshop as a result of the efforts of a group of Shiroishi locals who were seeking to relearn and revive the paper clothing skills and transmit knowledge about kamiko in the region. It has been dyed with botanical dyes, and prtined using the takuhon method of embossing, particular to Shiroishi. It has a paper shell and paper lining
