Yo Khoanh pulls out a handfuls of clay from the center of the lump and spreads it on the edge to elevate the walls. She repeats this operation all around the pot while walking backwards around the support. Doing so, she not only elevates the pots but also hollows the initial lump. The higher the intended pot, the higher she will elevate the wall : For the big yang that she is making, she will elevate the walls at least twice this size.
