Making jars (yang) in Yang Tao village : Building up the walls 5

Yo Khoanh pulls out a handfuls of clay from the center of the lump and spreads it on the edge to elevate the walls. She repeats this operation all around the pot while walking backwards around the support. Doing so, she not only elevates the pots but also hollows the initial lump. On this picture, we can clearly see the handfuls of clay that were spread all around the edges of the initial lump.
