Making jars (yang) in Yang Tao village : Preforming the rim 2

Mai Kim has put a bit of water on the rim and placed a wet rag astride on the edge of the pot’s opening. She holds the rag with her right fingers on the outside of the pot and her thumb inside while her left hand has the same position but with the fingers on the inside and the thumb on the edge of the pot. Keeping her hands in this position, she slides the rag along the rim while walking backward around the support to give shape to the rim.
