A wrinkeld sheet of washi (senkashi). This paper will be made into a roll, which will then be used as cloth when making a kimono to be worn during a series of Buddhist rituals held every year at Tōdaiji temple in Nara. In this image the straight lines and evenly distributed wrinkles that are a result of using the bamboo rod compression process are visible.
