At home, Nakiru and Akure are assisted by Lorot, they work on a range of objects. Nakiru cuts and chips the outer form of an akaloboch spoon, then she begins chiselling the inside. Akure works on an ebur container, chiselling out the hollow interior. Lorot chisels out the interior of a piece of wood that will become an elepit.
