An Edo-period paper sword sheath (katanabukuro) which is a protective case for the scabbard, often made of cloth. This sheath is stencil-printed and both the shell and lining are wrinkled paper (momigami). This lining is adorned with a dot and feather motif and the outer paper with a floral motif (possibly hydrangea)
