Mid 20th-century paper sword sheath, or katanabukuro, which is a protective case for the scabbard, often made of cloth. Both the shell and lining are wrinkled paper (momigami), the paper is dyed with walnut dye, adorned with a chrysanthemum motif created using the takuhon embossing technique and was made in Shiroishi by Fumiko Satō or one of her family members.
