The pestle is called “a ndré”. It is a long stick with a thinner part in the middle to ensure a better grip. The gripping space is called “kattang” It is made out of a wood called “a pang” that grows around 4km away from the village in the forest. This pestle is usually used to pound rice or corn or other food. But the other end can be used to pound clay on a flat stone.
