Pottery firing structure in Quế An village : Inside

The inside of the kiln is round, about 1m40 in diameter. In the centre there is a raised circular platform 1m10 wide. Metal bars connect the walls and the top of the platform to allow the heat of the fire to enter. However, to protect the pots from the flames, the surrounding opening is covered with pottery sherds.
