The Kơl hôl piêng, or pots to steam rice, have a wide mouth and a hollow cylinder at the bottom. The bottom of the pot inside the cylinder is pierced by holes. It is used (and sell) as a set with another pot with an opening the size of the cylinder so that the two pots can fit together. Water is boiled in the down pot and the rice is steamed on top. To cover the holes, so that the rice do not fall down into the water, they would put a leaf or a vegetable sponge.A piece of cloth is wraped around so that the steam does not come out between the two pots.
