·A thin slice of bamboo with both ends are attached together to make a circular tool. This tool is called "cái gọt". It is use to round the shape of the pots during the preforming on wet clay and to thin and round the walls during the preforming on leather hard clay (steps 2 and 4). ·Two pieces of plastic (left), one rectangular and the other round, cut out of a plastic can. They are used to smooth out the surface of the pots. The rounf noe is used on the inside of pots while the rectangular one is used on the outside.
