Preforming of the rim of a small cooking pot in Ki’Nonh village 2/2 : Shaping the rim 3/4

When she is satisfied with the overall form of the pot, the potter Bling Thị Thuáh takes a banana flower petal and places it astray on the edge of the pots, holding it with her left hand on the inside and her right hand on the outside. Without moving her hands, she turns around the pot and presses her fingers around 3cm under the rim to create the shoulder of the pot then moves her hands to enlarge the opening, thus creating the shape of the rim. On this picture, the movement of her feet can be discerned.
