Nguyễn Thị Phương, squatting in front of the drying pots, uses her index finger to smooth the inside of the pot. This actionn has been carried out on the pot at the bottom of the picture and not on the one at the top. We can see that it smooths the inside of the pot, and expends slightly its walls.
