Preforming the bottom of a cooking pot góh dam in Krăngọ village : paddling 2/2

Ma Ly is sitting on a low stool with the pot on her lap. She has pushed the botom of the pot from the inside to round the shape and scrape the square angles of the previously flat bottom. She now takes a wooden paddle called a tơrnap, dipped in water, and begins to pat the walls of the pots. Her movement is slightly diagonal to the walls, pushing the clay down and smoothing the surface. She says that the action of the tơrnap is to even out the surface. She concentrates especially on the lower part of the walls to erase the traces of the previously flat bottom, and to create a smooth curve of the walls.
