Preforming the bottom of a large pot (glah pakao) in Krăngọ village : paddling 3/3

Ma Ly is sitting on a low stool with the pot on her lap. She has scraped the square angles of the bottom. She now takes a wooden paddle called a tơrnap, dipped in water, and begins to pat the walls of the pots. Her movement is slightly diagonal to the walls, pushing the clay down and smoothing the surface. She says that the action of the tơrnap is to even out the surface. She concentrates especially on the lower part of the walls to slightly curve them in, giving the pot a more finished look.
