Preparing for the chhot-boat handover ritual

Boat builder Amol Mondal initiates a mandatory ritual performed by the boat makers at the time of handing over the chhot boat to the owner. They consider the boat to be their daughter and thus they hand her over (sampradan) to a new family with proper ceremonies. The ritual symbolises a marriage ceremony.
