Having completed weaving of row 10 (exa gɔme lɛlɛ), fishermen Dzobo Reuben (seated, left) and Maxwell Gbadago (standing, right) reposition the body of the basketry fish trap before Reuben weaves row 11. They are shifting the trap body's apex (exa-gɔmɛ) so that it will lie to Reuben's right side. Alternating the direction of weaving by flipping the trap body reduces distortion in the shape of the trap's body. Akanyakrom, Banda District, Ghana.
