Ritual for the firing in Phù Mỹ village 1/5 : offering tray

When starting the firing, the potter prepares a tray of food containing: a plate of sticky rice with peanuts and shred coconut, bowls of a Vietnamese dessert called chè, some cookies and sweets and a bunch of longan (long nhãn). The tray is placed next to the kiln on a flat basket, together with a vase with flowers, a small pot of alcohol, a light, some fake money and other paper offerings and a small pot containing sand.
