Roughing out a bassin (chàu) in Phù Mỹ village 8/9: placing the third coil

Nguyễn Thị Phương has created a rough out with a base and two levels of coil. However, the basin that she intends to make is high and requires a third level of coils. Nguyễn Thị Phương presses one end of the coil against her left hand, adjacent to the edge of the roughout on the left side. Then, using her right big toe and the pressure of her left hand on the rough out, she spins the wheel and presses the next part of the coil against her left hand. She repeats this process until she has completed one turn around the bottom or has finished the coil of clay. It's important to note that the amount of clay prepared in a coil is not necessarily the amount of clay needed to go around the bottom. When the coil is completely spread, she makes another coil with the required size and completes her revolution using the same method.
