The coils have been placed on the base while the wheel was stable. Now, Nguyễn Thị Bê starts pushing the wheel with her right foot. Nguyễn Thị Thủy takes a wet piece of cloth and presses it on the outside of the rough out from bottom to top to smooth out the joins of the coil. This also slightly reduces the diameter of the form and creates a flatter smoother surface.
