Bamboo tools to scrape the inside and outside of the pots during the fashioning on wet clay, the fashioning on leather hard-clay and the surface treatment. The potter has a lot of them of different sharpness : the sharpest ones are for fashioning (scraping clay out), while the less sharp are used to smooth out the outside of the pots with water. This tool is called "Cái cào", "cái khót" or "cái gọt", with "cái" as a classifier for object and "cào" and "gọt" basically refers to scraping.
