Ma Ly has created a rough out by drawing of a lump. As the intended pot is supposed to be higher, she has added a coil on top of the rough out. She now uses her left hand as a support on the inside and scraps the outside of the walls with the external face of her bent right index finger, drawing the clay up, creating a flat wall with a roll of clay on top. She walks regularly forward around the stand to repeat this operation all around the rough out. She will repeat this action until the clay has been completely drawn, creating a wall with a regular thickness.
