A view of a temple currenly used on the loom. The function of a temple is to stretch and widen the width of the cloth being woven on the loom. This reduces the tension on the selvedge dents and helps prolong the use of a wooden reed. This type of temple consists of a bamboo stick with metal points on both sides.
