"On a plate made by Mai Khanh, already polished 3 times but not fired yet. Are placed 3 stones for polishing of different sizes. Although the stones can be used on any pot, it is common to use small stones for small pots and larger stones for larger pots. They are called mau (lit. stone) and their effect is ɲoh. The origin of the stones is unknown, as they have been passed down through generations. New stones can be used, but the old ones are preferred as they are smoother and therefore make a better polish effect. The last object is a seed called "ple tay" that is also used for the same purpose.
