Turntable (new model, bottom view) from Quế An village

This image shows the new turntable from the potter which is called "Cái bàn xoay" ( with "cái" as a classifier for object, "bàn" as table and "xoay" as to turn). This model is made in metal while the traditional models were made in wood. The potter has this new model for only 2 years. She had it made for her because she has knee problems and the metal pivot creates less frictions. Thus, she use it with little to no help of her foot.
