Ewe fisherman Dzobo Reuben has used rope fibre to tie the stick (exa kɔta ti) that locks the angle-cut ends of the tongue (exa woade) of a basketry fish trap (exa) in place. The bamboo (pamplo ti) sticks have been pushed together to intersect, creating a "V" into which he has placed the stick. He has tied the join at multiple points to strengthen it. The body of the basketry fish trap lies horizontally on the ground behind him. Akanyakrom, Banda District, Ghana.
