During the opening of the kiln, Nguyễn Thị Thủy is sitting on top of the half opened door of the kiln, to hand the pots over to Nguyễn Thị Quốc. Nguyễn Thị Thủy also gathers in a bucket the debris from coal bricks used in the kiln during firing. When the bucket is full, she passes it to Nguyễn Thị Quốc who disposes of the debris.
