Võ Thị Sương using the firing in the kiln to cook some snacks in Quế An village

Võ Thị Sương uses the embers from the pre-firing to cook rice paper with sesame seeds (" bánh trắng mè "), which we ate as a snack while waiting for the kiln to cool down a bit before the proper firing. The kiln has to cool down a bit so the potters can approach it and cover the pots with straw and ashes for the firing.
