Wooden poles have been laid close to one another over the walls of a wattle frame structure being constructed on the grounds of the Banda Cultural Centre. They run perpendicular to and rest upon the lower roof joist of the wattle frame, which is visible above the window frame (right) and partially encased in daub. The poles will be overlaid by raffia stick slats, placed perpendicular to the poles. A group of loose slats awaiting placement can be seen through gaps in the poles. These will form the lattice for a daubed ceiling. Banda-Ahenkro, Banda District, Ghana.
