Mai Kim and Yo Khoanh use a long stick with a metallic pike in one end, called p’al. They poke holes in the soil to dislodge chunks of clay. When they have dislodged a certain amount of clay, they pick it up and put it in a medium side basket called sah sok uk (Basket to transport clay).
