Checking the products’ quality in Thanh Hà village

During the unloading of the kiln, one of the buyers checks the quality of the pots. She knocks each slightly with her knuckles: if the pot echoes, it is good. If not, it means that there is a crack (Broken pots are set aside then disposed of on the bank of the river). The buyers also count the pots of each type and write down the number with a white chalk on the bottom of one pot.
