It may happen that during the previous firing some part of the kiln get damaged. It is this important to maintain the kiln before every firing. It is Nguyễn Tấn Ánh’s task. Some of the bricks framing the doors or the kiln has been dislodged when loading the fuel or taking out the ashes. Thus, Nguyễn Tấn Ánh replaces them, using fresh clay to cement the new bricks.
