Nofa hand-picks and hand-combs the washed and dried lambswool in preparation for the making of the felt hat. It usually takes fifteen to twenty minutes to hand-comb enough wool for a felt hat. Nofa usually does this process but sometimes her daughters and Khalaf help her. The hand-comb is made by Khalaf darewsh with pieces of wood and large size nails.
