Paper vest made by Mashiko Endō in the late 20th century. Vest is made of Shiroishi washi, and has been decorated using a local technique called takushi/takuhonshi, which involves transferring a motif from a wooden board to the paper. This video highlights the use of a sewing machine, as well as metal snaps as fastners. .
