An elder woman plasters the porch of a wattle-and-daub structure built on the grounds of the Banda Cultural Centre. She stands bent at the waist as she uses her hand to apply and spread a plaster mixture held in a tomato can onto the berm and packed floor of the porch. She uses a slapping motion to apply plaster to the front face of the porch berm, using her palm to spread the mixture evenly. Two other women work inside to plaster the structure's floor.
