After a drying time, Võ Thị Sương takes back the lids and using her thumb, she pushes the clay towards the centre of the lids to close them and forms a small handle. Then, she smooths the lid with her hand. For the kettle’s lid, the prehensile element is formed on the inside of the “plate” (the kettles’ lids are inverted).
