Preparing clay to make pottery in Buôn Trấp village

The day before making pots, the clay has been mixed with a bit of sift sand (choa). H’Loan Bkrong and H’Lân Êban are pounding clay, using a pestle to make sure it is smooth and homogeneous. The pestle is called k’niêm (both in Rade and Bih). When the clay is ready, they knead it on the floor to obtain a compact cytlinder of clay.
