Right after kneading the clay, Võ Thị Sương divides the bloc of clay in two, and rolls each half between her hands to form a coil. The total of these actions (kneading and forming the 2 coils) usually takes around 1min 15sec. Each coil measures around 30 cm long and have a diameter of 8-10 cm. After she has made the desire amount of coils, she also makes patties, that will be used for the bottom of the pots. Each one is 3cm thick and 15cm in diameter.
